RECESS: Incantations, Twin Barns at The Staats House, 200 Station Road, Hudson. Featuring artists David Becker, John Cleater, Dan Devine and Marie Lorenz. Set within historic barns at the meeting point of the Hudson River and Stockport Creek, the exhibition enters into dialogue with its setting—where the vigorous landscape resonates with the works’ transformation of everyday forms.
RECESS is a monthly salon series of The Hudson Eye, locally in Hudson, NY which keeps consistent momentum and programming for the organization's year-round local activities.
Keeping with a theme of local artists, local venues, and local businesses, the monthly RECESS series spotlights both works-in-progress and established projects (along with the small businesses who host them) in a format that can be shared safely, distantly, and in an intimate local setting.
Innovation. Experimentation. Deep dives. Creative development. Access to patrons. It’s all welcome here in Hudson, NY.
RECESS is a safe space, an economic catalyst, and an opportunity to engage local businesses, performers, patrons, artists, and audience members in a program of safe gatherings, and creative dialogue.
RECESS will continue to safely promote and celebrate the work of diverse local artists and local venues in 2024 through in-person formats: often with access to the Curator, Founder, Staff of The Hudson Eye, and Young Patrons of the organization each month.
